A gentle introduction, a taste of what’s to come, nearly a lullaby, resonant chimes and soft acoustic strums.
Then layers of strings, swelling and rising, a voice from a distant radio transmission invites us to listen closer. And two new voices enter, repeating the same message:
I know you show me life. A mantra, maybe reassurance, maybe trying to convince yourself that it could be true, a gentle rocking to end with the words: In time. In time this may be true, can be true, will be true.
A hard-won optimism that whatever happens now, I know you, I know what you show me, it will give me life, be still and wait, know. In time.
