Kyrie 03:36
In peace we pray to the Lord: Lord, have mercy Christ, have mercy Lord, have mercy We pray for hate to cease And all to live in peace For false divisions that divide That love would be the only side In peace we pray to the Lord: Lord, have mercy Christ, have mercy Lord, have mercy For every holy house that seeks To lift the powerless and weak For clarity of mind and soul For strength to serve and live our call In peace we pray to the Lord: Lord, have mercy Christ, have mercy Lord, have mercy Comfort and defend us Never leave us Comfort and defend us Never leave us Amen Amen

To The Hills 03:56
Don’t sleep Don’t let me go Don’t sleep Don’t let me go I lift my eyes to the hills I bow my head to the ground You are all around You are all around I look beyond the treeline Down to the leaves and falling pine You turn me around You turn me around Closer than my breathing Nearer than my thinking Closer than my breathing Nearer than my thinking Don’t sleep Don’t let me go Don’t sleep Don’t let me go And when I close my eyes And rest my head at night You are at my side You are at my side Closer than my breathing Nearer than my thinking Closer than my breathing Nearer than my thinking You are all around (don’t sleep don’t let me go) You are all around (don’t sleep don’t let me go) You turn me around (don’t sleep don’t let me go) You are all around Don’t sleep Don’t let me go Don’t sleep Don’t let me go

about

"Closer Than My Breathing" is a dreamy journey through the liturgical ordo. From "Kyrie" to "Agnus Dei," the album combines Lacey Brown’s latest Eucharist setting with songs and ambient soundscapes that explore the closeness of God. The title of the album is taken from a lyric in the song "To The Hills" - “closer than my breathing, nearer than my thinking.” This song, like much the album, speaks of a God that is nearer to us than we can ever think or imagine, who is in us and in all things, who is all around and for this we give thanks.
